New york...I Love you!
Okey dokey artichokey I am back from New york and man o man did i LOVE it! Im going to TRY and keep this short and sweet because I could go and and on about it, but I dont think either of us have the time... Christmas eve is only a few days away, and i for one have not finished my shopping!
Back to NYC. On the first night we got there we left our hotel (in jersey) and decied to go and see the window displays at Macy's, Lord & Taylor and few others and then we ended up at 30 Rockefeller center.
The next day we went to the MET! And OH-MY-GOODNESS is that place HUGE! I did take some photos while in there but since they had a no flash policy they didn't turn out all to well. After the MET me and my mummies went off to P.J Clarke's for dinner. This place has been around forever, and was part of Frank Sinatra's bar crawl on Saturday nights! I highly suggest this place for dinner or a drink. It was casual and delicious!
After dinner we went to go see ELF! my mums friend Tim is in the show you can read all about him and how the story of elf is just a parallel to his own life HERE! The picture below is this Buddy the elf played by Sebastien Arcelus!
From the village we walked to ABC carpet and home and basically....I need to live there. It was amazing. The pictures i took are only from the first floor and there were SEVEN more to go. Unfortunately you have to be a millionaire to shop there but it gave me some fantastic ideas for decorating!
Also while in ABC carpet and home we saw Elvis Costello and Diana crawl shopping it was CRAZY! My Mum was freaking out, but she was WAY to nervous to say anything to him. She actually met him a few summers ago.
That night we went to go see Rufus at Carnegie....and ...it...was....MIND BLOWING! Unfortunately the pictures fro mthat night didn't turn out so great. But it was a night i will NEVER forget. He sang some songs with his sister, Martha, and she even brought her son Mark Anthony out for the last song. Rufus also preformed some songs from his Judy show, and of course that was amazing. I love new york and I WILL be back :)

The next morning he got up early and headed straight for the village and had breakfast at Cafe Reggio! It was filled with cheesy Italian decorating and tons of charm!

Pretty things will save me!
Sitting at home today feeling yucky and watching Spectacle re-runs. The Rufus wainwright episode is on right now, and he was charms me over and over when ever i listen to that man talk, Rufus just finished saying he was the "Sarah Palin of orchestrators". Whilst listening to my hero chat with Mr Elvis (Costello) I have been perusing etsy doing some Christmas shopping. May i just say it is EXTREMELY difficult shopping on etsy, I want everything. My birthday is coming up next week and although I do need to save up for my new york trip I think I am going to treat my self to something from "I heart Norwegian Wood". I have been eying the creations of Angie Johnson for a few years now.
As far as my Christmas list shopping, A lot of my pressies will be coming from "Mokeys always look". Last year for mothers day I bought my mum this
She absolutely loved it! She used to sing "you are my sunshine" to me as a baby so i thought it was an appropriate gift for mothers day. A few of the other things I have had my eye on is her jewelry and photo holders, as well as the plant markers!

Doing what im not supposed to be doing...AGAIN! This time I am supposed to be writing a movie review for my film studies class. But since I stayed up till midnight to see the first part of "Harry potter and The Deathy Hallows" and didn't get home till three in the morning. I am going to allow this procratination by showing you THIS! It is a website that allows you to create these word images. Here is one I made, I had a lot of fun with this. And I am pretty sure my grade ten English teacher used to make these for new units!

NEW YORK HERE I COME!
Hello world!
Has your week been as crazy as mine? Midterms are just wrapping up and I am POOPED!
Despite a long and tiring week I got an early birthday present from my Mummy. She is taking me to see Rufus Wainwright at Carnegie hall. I burst out into tears when she told me! Rufus is my hero. Words cannot fathom my love for this man and his music and voice.
We are (hopefully) going to try and catch a show of “Elf Musical” as my mum’s friend Tim is in it. I’m looking for a few places to visit while in the City. On my list so far is Mud cafe and Reggio cafe in the village, I also hope to try and hit up the SF Etsy's Winter Wonderland Craft Bazaar
Any one got any good suggestions?

I love this program it takes an digital photo you have and istantly turns it into a look-a-like Polaroid. I love how these photos come out authentic looking and they even "develop" like Polaroids and you can save each Polaroid image as it develops. I also love how easy it is, you drag and drop onto the camera app, wait for the negative then " shake it like a Polaroid picture".

I was procrastinating and doing what i should be doing, but this time it actually paid off. I found this lovely little lady named Alice Saunders! Her company Forest Bound makes these amazing one of a kind tote bags from recycled and salvage goods. I love the classic touches Alice creates. Her bags have an effortless style to them and will last for years.
